"Gehäuse" // Installation at HVB KunstKube 'K4' (2023-2024)
Solo exhibition, Munich
From October 2023 until October 2024, thanks to the support from the UniCredit HypoVereinsbank’s Emerging Artist Grant Program, I was able to implement my first installation titled “Gehäuse’” (German for ‘housing’).
The work features wood-framed synthetic resin paintings in various formats containing both digital and analogue elements (foil prints in between layers of resin paint) integrated into a rigid wooden structure.
The title “Gehäuse” originates from the German title of the Italian Renaissance painting “Saint Jerome in His Study” by Antonello da Messina, 1474 (German: “Der heilige Hieronymus im Gehäuse”), which shows a monk sitting in his furniture-like ‘studiolo’ in a church space.
